Product Info

Please kindly recheck the pickup details, meeting point, and session time stated on the voucher for your selected package.

Start your day with convenient pickup from a designated location in Banff or Canmore, then meet your guide(s) for a quick overview before heading into Yoho National Park. Your hike begins at the iconic Emerald Lake, where you’ll get a brief safety and trail introduction before setting off.

Follow the shoreline at first, then gradually leave the busiest areas behind as the trail climbs into the calmer Emerald Basin. At a steady, comfortable pace, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the landscape as your guide shares insights on the surrounding peaks, glaciers, wildlife, and geology—turning big views into a story you can actually read.

Along the way, you’ll have time for photos, viewpoints, and a scenic break with snacks provided. If your group is larger, a second guide may join to keep the experience relaxed and supported from both the front and back of the group. Hiking poles are available on request, and you can choose to add a packed lunch (available for $15) to enjoy in the alpine.

After soaking up the basin’s open views and quieter atmosphere, you’ll hike back to Emerald Lake and return to your original pickup point, finishing the day with a stronger connection to the Canadian Rockies.
