Product Info

Discover the taste of Polish wine during a unique visit to Wieliczka Vineyard—an organic and biodynamic vineyard set on a picturesque hillside, just a few kilometres from the famous Wieliczka Salt Mine.

During the tasting, you will sample four carefully selected wines, each aged for at least four years. This is a rare opportunity to discover mature Polish wines, explore their aromas and flavours, and learn how they develop over time. You will also hear how wine is made—from growing the grapes to ageing and bottling.

Wieliczka Vineyard is co-founded by Agnieszka Rousseau, one of Poland’s most experienced and respected oenologists. She earned the prestigious Diplôme National d’Œnologue from the University of Montpellier in France and has worked with wineries in France, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, India, Romania and Poland. Wines created under her guidance have won more than 200 medals at international wine competitions.

What makes Wieliczka Vineyard truly special is its focus on noble European Vitis vinifera grape varieties. The vineyard grows Chardonnay, Riesling, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon and Grüner Veltliner, among others. Unlike many Polish vineyards, we do not base our production on hybrid grape varieties. We prove that internationally renowned varieties can also thrive in the climate of southern Poland.

Our farm is managed with deep respect for nature and according to organic and biodynamic principles. The vineyard forms part of a diverse ecosystem that also includes an old orchard, herbs, nectar-rich plants and natural habitats for many animal species.

A visit to Wieliczka Vineyard can easily be combined with a tour of the UNESCO-listed Wieliczka Salt Mine and the historic town of Wieliczka. After a day of exploring local history, relax among the vines and discover a completely different—and delicious—side of Wieliczka.
