Our expert guide will take you to a nearby frozen lake, where you will learn how to drill through the thick ice. Then comes the most exciting part: dropping your line into the frigid water and waiting for a fish to start tugging. The custom is to avoid loud speaking and moving so that the fish won’t get scared. The world around you seems to disappear, and you can truly feel the nature around you. It is said that ice fishing is like meditation. - The activity takes place on the frozen lake located next to Arctic SnowHotel, located approximately a 30-minute drive from Rovaniemi city center, and there is no public bus connection available.
- You can reach the location by rental car, taxi, or we can arrange a private transfer for you at an additional cost.
- Please also note that entrance tickets to Arctic SnowHotel are not included in this activity. If you wish to visit the SnowHotel, tickets can be purchased separately on-site.
