Product Info

This adventure begins just over 25 km north of Puerto Natales, in the Archaeological Park located within the Ernesto Helmer Ranch. On this day of exploration, we'll travel through a unique natural and cultural environment, combining stunning landscapes with ancient remains.

The trail offers spectacular views of mountains, crevasses, overhangs, and valleys as we reach the perches of the condors that reign in the Patagonian skies. Once we reach the summit of Cerro Benítez, we'll be rewarded with an unparalleled panoramic view of the Eberhard Fjord, the Señoret Canal, and the iconic Laguna Sofía.

This hill is part of a valuable archaeological and paleontological area, home to cave paintings estimated to be 3,500 years old. We'll visit the Cueva de la Ventana and, from the southeast side, we'll enter the Cueva Escondida, equipped with headlamps. This cavity, approximately 4 meters high and 70 m² in area, is home to ancient stalactites formed by the constant filtration of mineral-rich water over time.

The tour ends with a hike to the Dos Herraduras sector, a group of rocky eaves that can be reached by crossing lush forests. There, on the walls of ancient formations that were once the seabed, we'll see the cave paintings: silent testimony to the most remote past of this extraordinary land.
