Product Info

Climb to the summit of Piuquencillo, a mountain in the Andes mountain range. Hike to the summit with the help of a guide and enjoy the unparalleled views of the surrounding mountains.

Start your adventure by walking from 4 to 7 hours to reach the base camp located over 3000 meters above sea level. At the camp, the guide will melt snow to get water, prepare dinner, and sleep as early as possible.

On day 2, wake up at 4:30 AM to start the hike at about 5:30 AM. Walk for 4 to 6 hours to reach the summit of the majestic Piuquencillo. Walk with crampons and an ice axe to advance safely down the mountain. If you have never used these tools, the guide will teach you how to do it.

The view is unparalleled because you can see many surrounding mountains such as El Plomo, Marmolejo, Meson Alto, San Jose volcano, among others. To descend, walk for about 4 hours to the base camp and about 3 hours more to the car.

Piuquencillo is considered a not very difficult mountain in terms of technique but it is physically difficult so it is recommended only for people in good physical condition.
