Begin your tour in the heart of the city at Muñoz Gamero Square and the Historic Center. Surrounded by elegant European-style mansions, the square reflects the economic boom of the late 19th century. Learn about the statue of Ferdinand Magellan and the local legend involving the foot of a Selknam figure.

Next, head to the Cerro de la Cruz Viewpoint. This panoramic lookout offers spectacular views of the city, the Strait of Magellan, and on clear days, Tierra del Fuego Island. It’s a favorite spot for photos and for interpreting the urban landscape.

Continue to the Sara Braun Municipal Cemetery, considered one of the most beautiful cemeteries in South America. Admire the impressive mausoleums of pioneer families and hear stories about local traditions and funerary customs.

Drive along the coastline to see various commemorative landmarks, such as the Monument to the Shepherd and the Goleta Ancud. The area is rich in historical, cultural, and scenic value.

Optionally, visit the Magallanes Regional Museum, located in the former Braun-Menéndez Palace, for deeper insight into regional history.
