Embark on a 4-day expedition to the Uyuni Salt Flats, departing from and dropping you off in San Pedro de Atacama. Discover some of South America's most extraordinary landscapes as you travel through volcanoes, deserts, colored lagoons, and the world's largest salt flat aboard a 4x4 vehicle.

On the first day, you'll cross the border into Bolivia to enter the Eduardo Avaroa National Reserve. You will visit the Laguna Blanca, the Laguna Verde, the Dali Desert, the hot springs in Polques, the Sol de Mañana geysers, and the impressive Laguna Colorada, one of the main flamingo refuges in the Bolivian highlands. At the end of the day, you'll arrive in Villamar (3,800 m above sea level), where you'll spend your first night.

On the second day, you'll visit the Copa del Mundo vantage point, the Camello de Roca rock formation, Laguna Pelada, the impressive Anaconda Canyon, the Inca Canyon, the historic ghost town of Julaca, and Laguna Catal, also known as Laguna Negra. At the end of the day, you'll arrive at Colcha K (3,600 m above sea level), where you'll spend the night in an authentic salt hotel with a private room and private bathroom, a unique experience on this expedition.

On the third day, you'll experience the most eagerly awaited moment of the trip: discovering the majestic Uyuni Salt Flat, the largest salt desert in the world. You'll enjoy the sunrise, explore its immense white surface, and be able to capture the famous perspective photographs. You'll also visit Incahuasi Island, the Salt Museum, the Colchani village, and the Train Cemetery before returning to Villamar for the last night.

On the fourth day, you will begin the return to San Pedro de Atacama, once again enjoying the landscapes of the Bolivian highlands and completing the immigration procedures before crossing the border into Chile.

At Rica Rica Travel, we believe that a great trip begins with trust. Our team of Bolivian driver-guides, with 4 to 12 years of experience on this route, is committed to providing a safe, responsible, and reliable expedition, accompanying you from your booking until the end of the tour.

Tours are conducted in 4x4 vehicles with a maximum of 6 passengers, allowing for more personalized attention.

The accommodations during the expedition are basic mountain hostels, typical of the remote areas of the Bolivian highlands. However, all have a private bedroom and en-suite bathroom. Although they offer what you need to rest, it's important to travel with expectations that are in line with the environment. We recommend that you travel prepared for low temperatures, especially at night and at dawn.
