Prestvannet sits in the middle of Tromsøya, quiet and largely untouched, and depending on the season it looks like a different world every time. In winter, powdery hues and arctic snow and a stillness that city streets don't have. In autumn, the birch trees go rusty and the light goes low and warm. In summer, the midnight sun makes everything glow at midnight as if it forgot to stop. Spring is its own thing entirely, the ice breaking, the first green coming back.
