From Tromsø: Fjord Tour and Visit to Sommarøy in French｜Norway

Welcome to Tromsø! My name is Mirko, and since 2018, I've had the privilege of doing the most beautiful job in the world: welcoming Arctic explorers like you and accompanying you on a journey to discover my city, the breathtaking landscapes that surround it, and the Northern Lights dancing in the sky.

In the summer of 2025, I launched my own activity: my goal is to offer you an authentic and unforgettable experience, sharing with you all my passion for the Arctic — for its rich and surprising history, its living culture, its wild nature, the silent twilights of the polar night, and the warm hues of the midnight sun.

During this excursion, we will cross Kvaløya, the "Whale Island," a land of fjords, mountains, valleys, and lakes, which offers some of the most spectacular panoramas in the region.

In summer, I offer this outing in the evening, when the warm, soft light of the midnight sun transforms the landscape, enveloping it in long shadows and golden hues; in winter, however, we will enjoy the rare hours of light, that moment known as the "blue hour," when everything takes on magical twilight shades.

Throughout the trip, we will make several stops to admire the most beautiful vantage points, and I will tell you a lot about life here: Tromsø, the climate, the midnight sun, the polar night, the Sami culture... and much more. Feel free to ask me any questions you may have!

Once we arrive in Sommarøy, "the Island of Summer," we'll take a short tour of the village and a break on one of its beautiful white-sand beaches.
