Experience the magic of the Arctic night as you set out in search of the Northern Lights around Longyearbyen. Far above the Arctic Circle, Svalbard offers a unique opportunity to witness the aurora borealis dancing across the polar sky.

Travel by vehicle through the wilderness surrounding Longyearbyen as you search for the best weather conditions and darkest skies. Along the way, visit some of the area’s most iconic locations, including the historic Northern Lights Observatory, Mine 5, and several scenic viewpoints beneath Svalbard’s dramatic mountain peaks.
