Before World War II, 80,000 Jewish people lived in Amsterdam; after the war, just 12,000 remained alive. The Netherlands has been the Western European country with the highest percentage of loss of Jewish lives. Among these people there was also a young lady, with the dream of becoming a writer, Annelies Frank.

Meet your guide near the Dam Square and set off on a walking tour of the city. Discover the impact of the Nazi Germany occupation on the city of Amsterdam. Explore the history of the Jewish people in Amsterdam from their arrival in the 16th century to their hardship and attempts to survive during the Second World War.

Learn about the story of the Frank family, from their move to Amsterdam to their sad fate. The tour will end in front of the Anne Frank House (THE TOUR DOES NOT PROVIDE THE ENTRY TO THE HOUSE).
