Informations sur le produit

Discover Zurich with Bruno, an independent historian and specialist in the history of the Zurich Reformation.

Zurich is not only one of Switzerland’s most beautiful cities. It was also one of the most important centres of the European Reformation.

Walk through the historic Old Town in the footsteps of Huldrych Zwingli, whose preaching at the Grossmünster helped transform the religious, political and social life of Zurich more than 500 years ago.

Bruno will take you to the places where the decisive events unfolded. Discover where sermons challenged established traditions, where religious debates shaped the future of the Church and where new ideas spread from Zurich across Switzerland and far beyond.

Learn why Zurich became a centre of the Reformation, how the movement changed everyday life and why the conflict was about much more than religion. The tour also explores the people who supported, challenged and opposed Zwingli, including the early Anabaptists.

As an accredited Fraumünster guide, Bruno can also take you inside one of Zurich’s most important churches, subject to opening hours and church services. Beyond the famous windows by Marc Chagall, you will discover the Fraumünster’s remarkable religious, political and social history.

The tour also includes the Lindenhof, where the Romans once built a fort above the River Limmat. From here, enjoy one of the finest views over Zurich’s Old Town while discovering the city’s Celtic, Roman and medieval origins.

This tour combines well-researched history with vivid storytelling, local legends and surprising details. It is ideal for visitors who want to understand not only what happened in Zurich, but also why these events mattered for Switzerland and the wider world.
