Informations sur le produit

Starting in Alpnachstad near Lucerne, this rewarding mountain hike takes us from quiet village paths and forest trails up into the wild limestone terrain of Mount Pilatus 2132m.

As we gain elevation, the landscape changes constantly. Lower down, we hike through farmer area, shaded forest and serene mountain paths. Higher up, the terrain shifts, it becomes steeper, more dramatic, with rocky slopes, gravel trails, and striking limestone formations that give Pilatus its unique character.

The upper part of the route leads through impressive alpine terrain toward the famous ridge below the summit, with expansive views opening across as far as visibility allows. With a bit of luck, we may even spot ibex on the rocky slopes.

At the summit of Mount Pilatus, we are rewarded with one of the most spectacular panoramas in the region. On clear days, the views stretch across multiple lakes and far into the high Alps. There is also a mountain restaurant and hotel at the top, making it a perfect place to rest before deciding on the descent.

This is a private hike, so the experience stays flexible and can be adapted to your pace, the weather, and how adventurous you want the day to be. Depending on preference and conditions, we can hike down, use the famous cogwheel railway, or descend via the gondola system on the other side of the mountain.
