Discover the darkest chapter of German-Austrian history on a half-day tour of the Dachau Memorial from Salzburg, traveling by comfortable private car instead of coach. Join our Licensed Guide on a private tour of the former Dachau Concentration Camp and witness the horrors of World War II and the Holocaust.

Choose the 7-hour option to visit the Dachau Memorial. You will be picked up by your private driver at your accommodation in Salzburg in a clean, air-conditioned car, van or minibus (depending on the group size). It will only take about 2 hours to cross the Austrian-German border and reach Dachau. Your Private Guide will meet you at the entrance to the former concentration camp.

The guided tour of the Dachau Memorial will cover the camp’s history from its construction to liberation and beyond. You will learn about the Holocaust and the Final Solution Plan, and witness the horrific conditions of the first Nazi concentration camp and the S.S. Training Facility – the School of Terror with your own eyes. Your Expert Guide will tell you about the forced labor, tortures and brutal medical experiments that were conducted on this infamous site, and share some stories of the camp’s Jewish and political prisoners. After the guided tour you will have a little bit of free time before returning to Salzburg.
