Informations sur le produit

This guided walking tour takes you from the earliest medieval accounts, through the dark chapters of the Nazi terror, to the present day, revealing sites of remembrance and commemoration of the city's Jewish heritage. A highly eventful history, in which periods of tolerance were repeatedly followed by periods of oppression.

The tour takes you to well-known and lesser-known sites in the city center that are connected with the lives and fates of the Jewish community. Through buildings, squares, memorials, and commemorative plaques, as well as through the stories of individual lives, you will discover the eventful history of Innsbruck's Jewish community.

Memorial sites along our route include: the monument on the hospital grounds, the Pogrom memorial on Eduard-Wallnöfer-Platz, the Tyrol department store (formerly Bauer & Schwarz department store), the synagogue on Sillgasse, and more.
