Your day begins at our Skaftafell hut, where you will meet your guide and receive all your specialized equipment. We provide professional ice-climbing boots, crampons, helmets, harnesses, and ice axes. After a short drive in our 4x4 bus to the glacier’s edge, we leave the easy paths behind. You will hike through a rugged world of deep crevasses and jagged ice formations, heading higher onto the glacier than most other tours.

Your expert guide will find the best ice walls for you to conquer the glacier. You will learn the proper techniques for using your ice axes and crampons to scale vertical walls.
