Karlovy Vary was founded in the 14th century by Charles IV after he accidentally discovered numerous hot springs spread across the area. It soon became a royal thermal spa complex visited by some of the most famous and powerful people from this country and across Europe. The city has 81 different hot springs.

On this day trip from Prague, your guide will pick you up from your accommodation in Prague. After about a 1.5-hour drive, you will reach the Czech Republic's most famous thermal spa city. During a walking tour through the historic center, you can taste water from 15 different mineral hot springs, famous for their health benefits. Walk around the area where the James Bond movie Casino Royale was filmed and visit the museum dedicated to the famous Czech herbal liquor Becherovka. A funicular will take you from the city center to one of the highest points, where you can enjoy a short break in nature and admire breathtaking views. Before returning to Prague, you will have some free time for souvenir shopping.
