Informations sur le produit

Let's start our tour in Garibaldi Square. We will spend about 15 minutes there to get to know each other and learn more about this place and the history of Nice, from protohistory to Antiquity, through photographic, engraved, and painted illustrations.

We will then take our time exploring the winding and picturesque streets located closest to the Castle Hill, otherwise known as the "Middle Town". You will learn, in simple and visual terms, about life in Nice in the Middle Ages, thanks to the engravings.

Most of our exploration will be devoted to the main district of Vieux-Nice: "the Lower City". You will learn about the role of the States of Savoy in the city's history, the reasons for its rich ecclesiastical life, and the peculiarities of Nice's Baroque style, with engravings and photos to support this.

As we leave the Lower Town district, we will discover the last district together: the "New Town." You will gain a better understanding of the reasons for the construction of this recent part of Vieux-Nice and see archive images depicting 19th-century tourists.

We will then take a short walk back to the Lower Town and end our tour by exploring the Les Ponchettes terraces and the panorama that opens onto Cours Saleya.
