Informations sur le produit

Immerse yourself in the world of Château d'Avrillé, an 18th-century jewel built of tufa stone, majestically overlooking the Aubance Valley. For four generations, the Biotteau family has passionately carried on the art of winemaking on this 200-hectare estate, one of the largest vineyards in Anjou.

On this 1.5-hour guided tour, your guide will tell you the fascinating story of Eusèbe Biotteau, a shoemaker who became a passionate winemaker in 1938 and opened the first free wine-tasting cellar in Anjou. You will learn about the region's iconic grape varieties (Cabernet Franc, Chenin Blanc) and the cultivation methods certified as High Environmental Value.

Then follow the complete journey of a grape: from the vine to the production cellar, and on to bottling. You will learn all the secrets of making the estate's prestigious PDO wines: Coteaux de l'Aubance, Anjou Brissac, Crémant de Loire and Cabernet d'Anjou.

The tour ends (for adults!) with a commented tasting of 5 iconic vintages in the cellar, where you can appreciate all the finesse and authenticity of Loire wines. A friendly and enriching experience at the heart of Anjou's wine heritage!
