Informations sur le produit

Géobalade: a journey through the history of the Earth. Welcome to this experience!

Discover the rhythms of the Earth.
Transform your perspective.
Uncover new paths.

The Earth is an infinite laboratory of Life: since the beginning of time, it has been moving, experimenting, adapting, and transforming.

During a geo-tour, the Earth is a mirror; its authentic history hidden in the landscape becomes our live guide.

Looking for something original to do in Ardèche?

In Jaujac, this geo-tour takes you along the Lignon to discover a lava flow that is tens of thousands of years old, originating from the Coupe de Jaujac, one of the youngest Strombolian volcanoes in the Ardèche. As it flowed, the lava followed the course of the Lignon for 3.5 km; as it cooled, it solidified into basalt prisms, forming true "organs" that the river then exposed by digging its bed. The site is considered one of the most beautiful basaltic flows in Europe.

Along the route, the contrast is striking: on one side of the Lignon, the basaltic columns resulting from the flow; on the other, the much older metamorphic bedrock on which it was deposited. A direct, open-air interpretation of the contact between two geological worlds separated by hundreds of millions of years.

The Earth becomes a language for understanding the laws of Nature.

Audiences: open to anyone who enjoys walking and observing. Accessible route, along the river and in the village.
