Enjoy a genuine introduction to mountaineering on the Mer de Glace, under the supervision of an aspiring high-mountain guide.
The day begins on the Montenvers train, which provides access to the Mer de Glace gondola lift. Then we'll walk for 40 minutes to the ice walls, which we'll climb using crampons and ice axes.
This small-group ice climbing school focuses on personalized guidance, with instruction tailored to each person's level.
Learn how to move in crampons, how to use an ice axe, and discover the joy of climbing natural ice walls.
Learning these techniques may also allow you to consider mountaineering ascents of peaks such as Mont Blanc in the future.
