Depart from Bordeaux for a day dedicated 100% to nature, cuisine, and incredible landscapes on the Cap Ferret peninsula, in the northern part of the Bay of Arcachon.

We'll depart at 9:00 AM directly from your accommodation in Bordeaux and embark on a wonderful private getaway, full of discoveries in this little slice of heaven—exclusively for you and your group (1 to 4 people max, no other participants).

First stop: a walk through a pine forest and dunes to the ocean. You will see Europe’s longest white-sand beach, with a wild and spectacular atmosphere. We will also see a historic, abandoned World War II bunker hidden in the sand.

Next, we’ll head to L’Herbe, a traditional oyster-farming village with colorful wooden huts and sandy lanes. It’s a pedestrian zone, quiet, and full of charm. Here, we will discover a remarkable Moorish chapel, learn about the history of the area, and find out about oyster farming… and of course, you will have free time for lunch (not included) to enjoy oysters, shrimp, pâtés, and white wine while overlooking the Dune du Pilat.

We will return to your accommodation in Bordeaux at around 2:30 p.m. Throughout the day, I will adapt to your pace and your preferences. You’re on vacation—this is a getaway just for you, a change of scenery.

  • Know Before You Go: The beach walk through the dunes and in the village is not difficult for most people, but it is not recommended for those with heart conditions or walking difficulties. Closed shoes are recommended for walking on the sand.

  • Know Before You Go: For lunch, the oyster shacks only offer oysters, shrimp, and pâté.

  • Know Before You Go: In accordance with insurance laws, please be aware that my professional liability insurance only covers the tour itself (during stops at the sites visited) and does not cover vehicle journeys made before, between, or after the activities.
