Step off the ship and I will be waiting at the gangway with your name on a board and the Mercedes a few steps away. From there the day is yours.

We take the Antrim coast road north with the sea beside us. Ballygally is the first stop, with the Glens of Antrim ahead and Scotland across the water on a clear day. Every village on this road has a story, Glenarm and the McDonnells, Carnlough, Cushendall and its hurling, and I will tell you the ones worth hearing. At Portaneevy we look down on the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge, then on to the Giant's Causeway, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you have time on the stones and the cliff path. Bushmills is beside it if you would like a whiskey, and Dunluce Castle is on the way back. The Dark Hedges can be added as an extra if you want them.

In the afternoon we come back into Belfast, the Titanic Quarter, City Hall, Queen's University and the murals, so for the last part of the day you are close to your ship, and I have you back at the terminal with time in hand before all aboard. We agree a return time before we set off and I keep to it. In all our years at Belfast Cruise Terminal we have never missed a sailing.

It is your party only, never shared, in a Mercedes V-Class with an ONC accredited tour guide at the wheel, a member of Tour Guides Northern Ireland (TGNI). Tolls, parking and bottled water are included. Diamond Chauffeurs Ireland is the chauffeur partner to two of Belfast's finest hotels, the Merchant Hotel and Regency House. They trust us with their guests every week, and you can trust us with your day ashore.
