Informations sur le produit

You will be guided along the River Lagan and some of Belfast’s iconic landmarks on board our Hydrobikes. You will experience Belfast from a different viewpoint including the world famous Harland & Wolff Cranes. A must see and unique thing to do in Belfast.

Belfast gets its name from the Irish Beal Feirste, or mouth of the Farset. Whilst the River Farset has long disappeared under the streets of Belfast, the River Lagan is now the most important river in Belfast. The River Lagan once formed part of the Lagan Navigation, a 27-mile navigation extending from Belfast to Lough Neagh, and was once one of the most successful commercial navigations in Ireland, but it was closed in 1958.

The impoundment of the River Lagan by the Lagan Weir in 1994 led to the rejuvenation of Belfast and whilst the banks of the River Lagan may look very different today, a lot of the history still remains. Discover more about the River Lagan and Belfast on our Guided Hydrobike Tour.

Frequently Asked Questions.

Where do you meet?
We are located beside the Belfast Waterfront Hall/ICC Convention Centre and just a short walk from Belfast City Centre and the Titanic Building.

Can I fall off?
Hydrobikes are incredibly stable and unsinkable. Providing you follow the basic instructions you will remain dry. Whilst hydrobiking is a watersport, you should not be in the water. We have an excellent safety record.

What can I wear?
You can wear normal clothes and flat shoes. You do not need a wetsuit.

Are they suitable for kids?
Yes we have Hydrobikes suitable for kids 4+

Where can I park?
Unfortunately we do not have parking on site but there are car parks at Lanyon Place and Lagan Side Bus centre which are just a short walk.

Do I need to be physically fit?
No you do not need to be physically fit. Hydrobikes provide a gentle, low-impact aerobic total body workout; but it all depends on how fast you pedal. Take a hydrobike out for a leisurely ride, a fast cardio workout. Our safety boats will be on hand should you have any concerns

Does an adult need to go on the water with children under 12?
No, an adult does not need to go on the water with them; we only ask that an adult accompanies children under 12 to the activity. The adult can stay on land or go out on the safety boat if they wish.

Are dogs allowed?
Yes you can bring your dog along for the fun.
