Informations sur le produit

Your experience begins in our premises in the Brückenpark. There, you will receive your gear and be given detailed instruction on the continuous belay system. On the practice course, you will first test the technique at a low height and get a feel for the next steps.

After that, your guide will take you directly to the steel structure of the Müngstener Bridge. You will climb up along the mighty arch of the bridge via narrow steps. With every meter, your perspective changes: The Bridge Park gets smaller, the view over the Wupper gets wider, and the dimensions of the structure only now become truly tangible.

You are in an area of the bridge that is normally not accessible. You will see the riveted steel girders up close and learn how the structure was built, what challenges the builders faced, and why the Müngsten Bridge remains a technical marvel to this day.

The ascent ends at the highest point of the bridge walkway, around 100 meters above the valley. Here you have time to enjoy the view over the Bergisches Land and to let the path you have covered sink in. If you're looking for an extra challenge, you can venture onto the optional balance beam.

During the tour, your guide will capture the most important moments in photographs. This way, you can fully concentrate on the climb and will receive numerous pictures as a souvenir afterwards.

After about 2.5 hours, the tour ends back at Haus Müngsten. What remains is not only the view from 100 meters up, but above all the feeling of having climbed Germany's highest railway bridge yourself.
