We'll start our walk through the history of Hamburg at Hammaburg Platz,
the birthplace and cradle of Hamburg, and learn how Hamburg got its name.

We will then continue our tour through Hamburg's Kontorhausviertel, the former center of Hamburg's merchants, and its brick office buildings.

We take a look under the pretty ballerina skirt of the prima ballerina of the office buildings.

We will take a critical look at the founding charter of our harbor and discover one or two contradictions.

We'll continue on to Speicherstadt, immerse ourselves in the red brick canyons and their stories, find out what Westphalia has to do with Hamburg and why workers lived in a palace there.

We'll find out what barge and schooner captains actually did and why there are coffee barons and Persians in Hamburg.
At the end, you'll have the opportunity to enjoy a coffee and/or a piece of cake in a former coffee warehouse to enjoy a coffee and/or a piece of cake.
