Total Distance: Approximately 160 to 180 km (100 to 112 miles), depending on side trips.

Duration: 20 Days (15-16 days of actual trekking).

Difficulty: Strenuous to Very Challenging. The trek requires 6 to 9 hours of hiking on pass days, traversing rocky scree, exposed ridges, and occasionally icy glaciers.

The Three Passes:

Kongma La (5,535m / 18,160ft): The highest pass, known for its rocky, loose terrain.

Cho La (5,420m / 17,782ft): The most technical pass, requiring a glacier crossing.

Renjo La (5,360m / 17,586ft): Famous for arguably the best panoramic views of Mount Everest and the Gokyo Lakes.

Everest Base Camp (EBC): Sits at an elevation of 5,364m (17,599ft) at the foot of the Khumbu Icefall.

Gokyo Lakes: A pristine alpine wetland system located at 4,700–5,000m, comprising some of the highest freshwater lakes in the world, sitting alongside the Ngozumpa Glacier (the largest glacier in Nepal).

Wildlife: The trekking route passes through alpine zones that are natural habitats for the elusive snow leopard, Himalayan tahr, musk deer, and the Impeyan pheasant (Danphe, Nepal’s national bird).
