Product Info

Begin with a warm welcome from your professional guide at your hotel in Doha. After a short briefing, set out in a comfortable, air-conditioned 4x4 vehicle, heading northwest along the coastal highway. As the cityscape fades, the desert horizon unfolds, offering a glimpse of the adventure ahead.

Your first stop is Al Khor, a charming coastal town known for its fishing heritage. Stroll along the harbor lined with traditional wooden dhow boats, learn about Qatar’s early pearl diving traditions, and capture photos of the tranquil waterfront. Hear stories of how these small coastal communities helped shape Qatar’s maritime identity.

Continue north to Al Zubarah Fort — a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Qatar’s most important historical landmarks. Built in 1938, the fort once served as a military outpost and now houses a museum showcasing artifacts from the nearby archaeological site of Al Zubarah Town.

Explore the ruins of this once-thriving 18th-century trading port, where merchants from across the Arabian Gulf exchanged pearls, spices, and textiles. Wander through the excavated remains of old houses, mosques, and market areas, and imagine life during Qatar’s golden age of trade.

Enjoy a scenic drive along the northwestern coastline, where turquoise waters meet endless desert. Depending on the season, stop at a quiet beach or shaded spot for a short break with refreshments. This is the perfect time to relax, take photos, and soak in the peaceful surroundings.

After lunch, head toward the Zekreet Peninsula — one of Qatar’s most fascinating natural landscapes. The terrain changes dramatically as you enter the Zekreet Desert, known for its wind-carved limestone formations and surreal rock structures.

Visit Film City, a mysterious replica of a traditional Arabian village built for a television production. Although uninhabited, the site offers a cinematic atmosphere and a sense of stepping back in time.

Continue deeper into the desert to witness one of the most iconic art installations in the region — Richard Serra’s “East-West/West-East.” Four towering steel plates stand aligned across the desert plain, symbolizing the connection between nature, time, and human creativity. This is a must-see for art lovers and photographers alike. The contrast between the rust-colored steel and the pale desert landscape creates a powerful visual experience.

After a day filled with discovery, your guide will drive you back to Doha, sharing final insights about Qatari culture and heritage along the way.
