Informations sur le produit

On our tour, you'll visit the Didgori Battle Memorial, which commemorates the battle fought on August 12, 1121, between the forces of the Kingdom of Georgia and the Seljuk forces of Toghrul. Key Features and Architecture:
Symbolic Swords: Dozens of massive metal swords are plunged into the hillside like crosses, representing both fallen warriors and the resolve of the Georgian army.
Central Column: The elements converge on a towering concrete column shaped like a deda bodzi, the traditional central pillar of a medieval Georgian house.
Warrior Sculptures: Colossal sculptures of dismembered warrior bodies are scattered across the meadows, conveying the scale and brutality of the conflict.
Trumpeter Warrior: A separate 30-meter-tall statue of a warrior blowing a horn is located roughly 4 km north of the main complex, signaling troops to battle.

Mtskheta is one of the oldest cities in Georgia, founded in the 5th century BC. Mtskheta is home to the Samtavro Monastery complex (the main church of the 11th century) and the Svetitskhoveli Cathedral. Near Mtskheta is one of the oldest monastic churches in the country, Jvari (6th century).
