Product Info

Leave central Baku for a day trip focused on the region’s distinct geological and historical sites.
Begin with a drive along the Caspian coast, stopping briefly at the first industrially drilled oil well and Bibi-Heybat Mosque. Continue to Gobustan National Park to view its interactive museum and walk through the reserve, home to over 6,000 ancient petroglyphs depicting early human life and wildlife.
Transfer to 4x4 off-road vehicles to reach the local mud volcanoes. Observe the cold, mineral mud bubbling from subterranean gas deposits across the landscape.
Following a lunch break, travel east across the Absheron Peninsula to the Ateshgah Fire Temple. Walk through the stone courtyard built around subterranean gas vents, historically used for rituals by Zoroastrian and Hindu travelers.
End the itinerary at Yanar Dag, where natural gas leaks cause a continuous flame along a sandstone hillside. Conclude the trip with a comfortable return drive to Baku.
