This guided hike leads you through mature Caribbean Oceanic forest, where an experienced Nature Interpreter introduces you to the island’s rich flora and fauna.

Begin a gradual ascent surrounded by towering chatannier trees with massive buttress roots, fragrant gommier, and the impressive strangler ficus that forms an intricate lattice around its host. As you follow the trail across ravines and creeks, keep an eye out for giant ferns, remarkable epiphytes, and the vibrant birdlife that brings the forest to life, including the elusive Jacquot itself.

Along the way, learn how the forest once provided essential food, medicine, and materials for traditional St. Lucian life. The experience combines natural beauty, culture, and education, making it ideal for nature lovers, photographers, and hikers of all levels.

Set within the Castries Waterworks Reserve on La Sorcière Mountain, the trail is part of Rainforest Adventures/Sky Rides—St. Lucia’s premier eco-adventure site—located just 30 minutes from Port Castries and major hotels.
