Paddle the Nam Ou River through peaceful countryside and beneath the limestone cliffs of Pha Aen. Reach the confluence of the Nam Ou and Mekong Rivers and cross to the Pak Ou Caves. Explore the two sacred caves, home to thousands of Buddha images placed there by pilgrims over many generations.
Continue downstream on the Mekong for approximately 30 minutes to Manifa Elephant Camp, where changing and shower facilities are available. Depending on your selected option, enjoy a buffet lunch overlooking the river before or after kayaking.

Kayak in the morning, visit Pak Ou Caves, and have lunch beside the Mekong. Continue by vehicle to Kuang Si Waterfalls, where you can walk through the forest reserve, admire the tiered cascades. A village stop may be included on the return journey.
Full-Day Extended Kayaking and Sunset Cruise:
Spend both morning and afternoon exploring the Nam Ou and Mekong Rivers by kayak, with time to visit Pak Ou Caves and stop for lunch. Designed for guests seeking a longer and more active river journey, this option allows you to experience more of the changing landscapes around the two rivers. Finish the day with a sunset cruise from the Pak Ou area to Luang Prabang.
Full-Day Cycling, Kayaking and Sunset Cruise:
Begin with an approximately 14-kilometre guided bicycle ride on quiet paved and dirt roads beside the Nam Ou and Mekong Rivers. Pass villages, farmland, rice fields, temples, and scenes of everyday rural life. Most of the route is flat and suitable for recreational cyclists.
After lunch, kayak through the Pak Ou area, visit the caves, and continue along the Mekong. End the adventure with a sunset cruise to Luang Prabang, with a possible stop at Ban Xang Hai village along the way.
