If you are arriving in Israel by cruise ship to Haifa or Ashdod port, then one of the best excursions to do is the Haifa and Acre excursion, which explores two old and fascinating cities on the coast of Israel. Your tour guide was also in the IDF. We will leave from either the Haifa or Ashdod port and head first to the Bahá’í Gardens in Haifa. We will then visit the American colony and have lunch there. Afterwards we will go to the old walled city of Acre (Akko), and learn about the amazing history there including the Crusaders, Mamelukes, Ottomans, French and Napoleon, and the modern city of Acre with its exotic markets and bustling streets. We will visit the Templar Tunnels and the Irgun Prison. We will then return to either Haifa or Ashdod port depending on where your cruise ship is docked.
