Product Info

Make your way to a family home in San Antonio Aguas Calientes, a Mayan village just 30 minutes from Antigua. Meet your hosts and learn about their family project, "NOBI - Pedacito de Guatemala," which is dedicated to creating unique Guatemalan products to help promote the local economy.

Begin your cooking class and learn how to make rellenitos, one of Guatemala's most popular desserts. Discover how this dish is an unexpected fusion of three cultures: Garifuna (plantain), Mayan (chocolate and beans), and Spanish (sugar and cinnamon).

Learn the history of this dish and follow special recipes handed down from mother to daughter. Use the finest Guatemalan ingredients, including our premium organic cacao from Alta Verapaz.

At the end of the class, enjoy a cup of hot beverage and rellenitos freshly fried to eat still hot, and some extra to take home.

---

After the activity, explore our facility, which serves as a factory, shop, garden, and home, all in one. Discover other locally-made products, including chocolate, coffee, vanilla beans, chili peppers, and coconut soaps.

You can get to the meeting point (our shop, "nobi") easily by Uber or bus from Antigua.
- By Uber (approx. Q60 - Q90): Search "nobi", it will take approx. 30 minutes from the center of Antigua.
- By bus (Q7 per person): Take a chicken bus with a sign "San Antonio Aguas Calientes" at the Antigua Bus Terminal behind the Central Market. Get off near the Bodegona supermarket in the village then walk some 10 minutes to our place. Or you can take a tuk tuk, which should cost Q10 per ride.
* You can take the same bus at the Bodegona supermarket or Uber to go back to Antigua.
* Free street parking available in front of our shop.
