Marvel at the formations, composed largely of clay and sandstone, that was created by the erosion of mountains by the area’s strong winds and rains. Enjoy the serene setting, full of wonder, and intrigue.

Head to Chacaltaya after your visit to Moon Valley. Admire this glacier that served as Bolivia's only ski resort until the complete meltdown in the last decade. Discover the former world's highest lift-served ski area and the northernmost in South America as well as the world's second most equatorial after Maoke, Indonesia.

Walk from the abandoned ski resort to the top of the Chacaltaya mountain to enjoy great views at over 5000 meters above sea level.
