Welcome to Mt. Onidake！
The iconic symbol of the Goto Islands! Rising 315 meters above sea level, this beautifully curved volcano is completely covered in lush green grass—contrasting wonderfully with its fierce name (meaning "Demon Mountain"). Every two years, a controlled mountain burning is held to maintain its stunning silhouette. While its daytime scenery is spectacular, Mt. Onidake takes on a magical, majestic presence after dark.
Live Guided Stargazing Under the Open Sky!
Your jaws will drop at the sight of countless stars blanketing the night sky (available on clear nights only). Seeing a cosmos of stars like you've never experienced before is truly breathtaking. The Milky Way, and depending on the season, even Saturn and Jupiter, can often be clearly seen with the naked eye. Our guide will use the real night sky as a canvas to introduce the constellations born from Greek mythology.

Preschoolers (Under Elementary): Free of charge if they do not require a seat. If a seat is needed, please make a paid reservation for them.
Wheelchair Users: An assistant must accompany you. Please be aware that there are no wheelchair-accessible ramps or elevators on this tour.
Transfer Area: Pickup/drop-off is only available within Fukue Town (within 20 minutes from Fukue Port).
Solo Travelers: 1-person bookings are accepted, but an additional single surcharge will be charged.

Rappels

  • 1.The schedule may change or be canceled depending on weather and traffic.

  • 2.Expect a short uphill walk (stairs/hill with a 20m elevation change) from the parking lot to the venue.

  • 3.The mountain is higher and colder than the town, so please dress warmly! (We provide winter coats for guests in winter).

  • 4.Important: If you have dinner included at your hotel, please inform them that you are taking this tour so you don't miss your meal.
