The Agua Azul Waterfalls, declared a Natural Biosphere Reserve in 1980, are formed from the tributaries of the Otulún, Shumuljá, and Tulijá rivers, creating a truly impressive natural spectacle, especially for its blue-white waters that contrast with the exuberant jungle landscape that surrounds them. Misol-Ha, which in the Chol language means precisely “waterfall”, is located 20 km from Palenque.
