Once collected, you'll reach the otherwise hard-to-get-to Sounion. Be dazzled by the famed landscape that surrounds the area. Hear about the times of the ancient Greeks, and sacred ground dedicated to the gods Poseidon and Athena.

Marvel at the Temple of Poseidon perched upon the cliff’s edge 70 meters above the sea. Walk the blessed earth of the Sounion, one of the places sung about it in Homer’s Odyssey. Stand upon the same cliff where it is said King Aegeus threw himself off. Plus, watch the sunset over this legendary horizon to complete an unforgettable experience.

The extra cost per person to be paid by cash or card at the ticket office of the monument is about 10 euros (April to October) and in low season (November to March) about 5 euros. Free admission days: 6 March (in memory of Melina Mercouri), 18 April (International Monuments Day), 18 May (International Museums Day), the last weekend of September annually (European Heritage Days), 28 October, every first Sunday from November 1st to March 31st

  • Know in advance:please be at the meeting point 10 minutes prior to the time indicated
