Discover the charm of one of the city’s oldest quarters, “Pazar i Vjeter”, through an authentic culinary experience hosted by Marjeta and her spouse. In this historic setting, they will guide you through a hands-on cooking.

The experience begins with a refreshing glass of raki or a soft drink, setting the tone for the experience ahead. Under Marjeta’s expert guidance, you'll prepare a vegetarian menu featuring three. You’ll start with “Qofte bobollaqe”, a savoury speciality served with creamy yoghurt. Next comes “Qifqis”, a Gjirokaster favourite blending rice and local ingredients. To finish, enjoy “Hasude”, a sweet dessert that completes the meal, accompanied by a fresh seasonal salad.

Once the cooking is done, sit down to savour your creations alongside wine, raki, or a beverage of your choice. This is a chance to taste genuine Albanian flavours while sharing stories in a relaxed atmosphere. Before you leave, you’ll receive a recipe booklet so you can recreate these dishes at home, taking a piece of Gjirokaster’s culinary heritage with you.
