-What you can expect-
Board a two-deck catamaran at the Maritime Station and set sail through the Vigo Estuary. As you cruise along the water, you'll take in views of the surrounding landscape while learning about the history, character and economic importance of this Galician fjord.

During the journey, you'll pass traditional mussel farming platforms and discover how mussels are cultivated, harvested and prepared as part of Galician gastronomy. The estuary is also home to a variety of marine life, adding another dimension to the experience.

On the return journey to port, you'll enjoy a tasting of locally produced mussels, served with a glass of Ribeiro wine. It's a chance to sample one of Galicia's best-known culinary traditions while relaxing on board.

  • Meeting point description: Meet at the Piratas de Nabia Naviera desk inside the Maritime Station. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before the departure time to exchange your voucher for your boat ticket.(Estación marítima de Ría, Avenida da Beiramar, Vigo, Municipality of Vigo, Spain)

  • Accessibility:Wheelchairs are welcome on board and can be accommodated on the lower deck, where the tasting takes place

  • Not allowed:Pets are not allowed on this tour

  • Know in advance:You'll be accompanied by a licensed guide throughout the tour. The guide will be on the upper deck, and commentary will be broadcast to the lower deck via a microphone

  • Steamed mussels and a wine with a certificate of origin will be served during the return journey

  • The local partner reserves the right to modify or cancel the activity due to weather conditions, logistical reasons or force majeure
