Imagine this: You’re taking a walk, crossing a street, visiting a bar – but you can’t see a thing. No light, no shapes, no sense of direction. Just darkness. And then you realize: your other senses take over.

At Dialogue in the Dark, you embark on exactly this adventure. Visually impaired guides lead you through completely darkened spaces – through everyday scenes that suddenly feel entirely new: without sight, but with all your other senses.

You learn to rely on sounds, touch, words, intuition – and on the people guiding you through the darkness. This immersive exhibition offers a powerful insight into life without vision – fostering deep understanding, respect, and empathy.

Afterwards, you can visit the dark bar, enjoy a drink, and talk with your guide – directly and openly.

Duration: Lasts 1 hour

Rappels

  • Please refer to your voucher for final information regarding meeting points, pick-up locations, and pick-up time

  • Meeting point description: Kindly enter the Dialoghaus venue at the corner - red border. Check-in is 15 minutes before the start of the tour at the ticket office.(Alter Wandrahm 4, 20457 Hamburg, Deutschland)

  • Not allowed:Do not bring any luminous objects (eg shoes, watches, sweaters, etc.) into the exhibition

  • Know in advance:Free lockers are available on site where you can store your valuables

  • At the end of your tour you have the opportunity to drink or eat something in the dark bar, for which it's recommended that you purchase a few coins in advance

  • The reduced price applies only to: children aged 14-17, students with a valid student card, seniors 65+, severely disabled people or their accompanying person
