This is a fantastic opportunity to get fully immersed in the beauty of the Amalfi Coast and the impressive memory left behind by the ruins of Pompeii, the world-famous ancient town that lays buried under the layers of volcanic ash since August 24, 79 A.D., the sudden eruption of Vesuvius buried Pompeii with ashes and lapillus.
The buried city was rediscovered in the 16th Century, but it was only in 1748 that the exploration phase began, under the King of Naples Charles III of Bourbon. Our guide will bring this ancient resort town to life. One of the most picturesque towns on the Amalfi Coast, Positano has charmed visitors for decades with its precariously-perched pastel houses and its famous boutiques.
