Informations sur le produit

  • Experience a hike on one of the Tohoku region's most sacred peaks, designated as a National Place of Scenic Beauty and selected by Junko Tabei as one of the 'Fukushima 100 Famous Mountains.' It was also featured on the NHK program 'Nippon Hyaku-Teizan' (100 Famous Low Mountains), where Rui Yoshida walked the trail. Mount Ryozen was opened in 859 by the monk Jikaku Daishi and named after Vulture Peak (Ryojusen), where the Buddha practiced. During the Northern and Southern Courts period, Kitabatake Akiie built Ryozen Castle as a base for the Oshu region. The story of this era is depicted in the popular manga 'The Elusive Samurai' (Nige Jozu no Wakagimi), and the second season of the anime is scheduled to air in July 2026. The route is filled with numerous bizarre rock formations and spectacular viewpoints, ensuring an engaging and enjoyable walk. Starting from the trailhead parking lot, we will visit several scenic spots, take a break at the Ryozen Castle ruins, and head toward the highest peak at an altitude of 825m. This is a 5km loop hike with an elevation gain of 314m that returns to the parking lot where we started. Whether you are a beginner or looking to start hiking, please join us with peace of mind as a guide will accompany you throughout the journey. Learn about the charms of hiking and how to enjoy nature while we walk. Our experienced guide will also be happy to answer any questions, provide safety tips, and advise on necessary gear and clothing. <Itinerary> 1.
