ーSengan Gardenー

Sengan-en Garden, also known as Iso Garden, is located in Kagoshima Prefecture and was built as a villa garden by the Shimazu family in 1658 (the first year of the Manji era). The garden borrows scenery from Sakurajima Island and Kinko Bay, integrating the grandeur of nature into the landscape. It served as a reception hall for guests of the Satsuma Domain and later as the main residence of the Shimazu family after the Meiji Restoration. A stroll through the garden offers a unique experience, allowing visitors to simultaneously appreciate the interplay of history, culture, and natural beauty.

This product is an admission ticket to Xianyan Garden and includes two key attractions:

The palace, formerly used as a guesthouse, offers exquisite decorations and stunning views of Sakurajima.
Shoko Seisekikan: A museum showcasing the Shimazu family and the culture of southern Kyushu. The building itself is one of Japan's oldest stone-built Western-style machine shops and is a constituent asset of the World Heritage Site "Site of Japan's Industrial Revolution during the Meiji Era." The museum displays a variety of exhibits, including cannons, Ryukyu ship models, and Satsuma Kiriko (a type of Japanese candy).

The facility will be closed on the day of the Kagoshima Marathon.
