On this tour, while walking through Yashima Wetland, we will guide you from various perspectives, including its formation, the diverse living creatures, and the history of the relationship between Kirigamine and people.

Yashima Wetland is full of charm in every season. In spring, new buds color the mountainsides, and the chorus of Schlegel's green tree frogs echoes. (Selected as one of the '100 Soundscapes of Japan' by the Ministry of the Environment) In summer, flowers such as Japanese azaleas and Hemerocallis esculenta bloom, making it a lively season with summer birds and butterflies dancing. In autumn, when the clear blue sky and grass autumn colors spread out, fireweed and Scabiosa japonica add color, and the courtship calls of stags echo from beyond the silver-shining pampas grass. Eventually, when days below freezing continue, the area is wrapped in a world of snow and ice, and the footprints left on the snow spark the imagination about the animals living through the harsh winter. What kind of encounters await us today... We will guide you according to the highlights of the day and your preferences.
