- With 30 years of experience as a transformation studio, we are a welcoming place where everyone from children to seniors can enjoy a transformation. We offer over 500 costumes in total, including Maiko, Geiko, Oiran, Bakumatsu-period costumes, Shinsengumi, and Junihitoe (twelve-layered ceremonial kimono). Jidai Isho Okamura is located in a historic townhouse (machiya) built at the end of the Edo period, over 150 years ago. Whether for sightseeing, events, or festivals, why not step away from your daily routine and enjoy a unique experience with our extensive costume transformation plans? Our most popular service is the Oiran transformation. This Kyoto Fushimi Tayu Plan is an Oiran plan that allows you to transform into a glamorous and alluring look. It is a highly acclaimed plan among our transformation menu. 【Dressing Time】Approx. 60 minutes 【Includes Japanese-style hair styling】 【Free exploration allowed】 【Personal cameras allowed】 Rest assured, we will assist you with removing your makeup and taking down your hair. Our staff will also help you with changing, including untying the obi and removing the kimono. If you would like to apply your usual makeup before leaving after your transformation, we recommend bringing your own cosmetics.

- There is no time limit for using the costumes. Please enjoy your transformation for as long as you like. You are also welcome to explore the streets of Kyoto while in costume.
- Free Exploration
- After your transformation, you are free to go out. Feel free to explore, or even use our Junihitoe for weddings or special events (please inquire for details)!
- Photography
- You are welcome to bring your own camera! Feel free to move around the shop and take photos. We also offer a professional photography course provided by our shop (additional fees apply).

- Cancellations 1 day(s) (inclusive) before the selected date are allowed. Unused orders can be canceled for free
- Cancellation is not allowed between 0–0 days from the selected date. Orders cannot be canceled or modified, and refunds will not be granted.
NOTE
- Due to time zone differences, the confirmed cancellation date is based on the supplier’s local time. Please allow 2–5 business days to process your cancellation request, after which the cancellation fee will be charged according to the product’s cancellation policy. Once your refund request is confirmed, KKday will initiate the refund to your original payment method within 15 days. The actual refund timing depends on your card-issuing bank’s policy.
