Informations sur le produit

  • This snorkeling tour allows you to swim with sea turtles at Miyakojima's most popular scenic spot. Have you ever been to Yabiji? Yabiji, Miyakojima's spectacular scenery, is a must-see. [What is Yabiji?] Yabiji, with its eight giant coral reefs (main reefs) and over 100 large and small coral reefs (subreefs), forms a massive coral continent and is designated as a Japanese Place of Scenic Beauty and Natural Monument. Yabiji's area (main reefs and subreefs) is about one-third the size of Miyakojima, stretching approximately 17 km north to south and 6.5 km east to west, making it one of Japan's largest coral reefs. The rugged underwater topography maintains the unique ecosystem of Yabiji, and a diverse range of creatures lurks there. From large to small, Yabiji offers many exciting encounters throughout the year. Yumutsu's guided tours aim to give you the opportunity to swim with sea turtles at the breathtaking Yabiji. Because sea turtles and other wild creatures change their behavior depending on the ocean conditions, we don't stick to a set pattern and are skilled at selecting spots that suit the weather and ocean conditions on the day of the tour. As a local captain with over 18 years of guiding experience, we have many spots we're proud of. Unlike the assembly-line style of snorkeling tours, where we only take you to specific locations, our captain selects spots based on the ocean conditions of the day, satisfying our greedy style, which has earned him rave reviews from repeat customers. Yabiji Sea is a magnificent coral reef. While there are many sea turtle spots, it's not true that all of them have calm ocean conditions. Nature changes its appearance every day, so let's all search for sea turtles together, depending on the conditions of the day! Enjoy not only sea turtles, but also the coral reef world that is synonymous with Yabiji Sea! Giant table corals, now rare, are thriving in Yaebi Sea. It's quite a surprise when sea turtles suddenly appear from the shadow of these huge corals right in front of you! As it is stressful for them, we ask that you do not touch any of the marine life. Please remember that you are playing in nature and respect nature.
  • About the guide style: What kind of guidance will you provide?
  • Unlike typical snorkeling tours, where the guides only take you to specific locations, we do not follow a routine style, but instead choose the best spots based on the sea conditions on that day, which has earned us positive feedback from repeat customers.
  • About store-based and on-site gathering types
  • Our shop is a rare snorkeling specialty store in Miyakojima. Our waiting area will be stylishly renovated in spring 2024! We offer hot showers and hair dryers for after-tour use, so we confidently recommend it to women and families with children. Our boat departs from Sarahama Fishing Port, located just 20 seconds' walk from our shop. Upon returning to port, you can immediately rinse off with a shower, making the most of your limited time on your trip. Even on the last day of your trip, you can freshen up before heading to the airport. Our shop is conveniently located in the captain's family home, about 25 minutes from Miyako Airport and 15 minutes from Shimojishima Airport. Sarahama Fishing Port, Okinawa's No. 1 bonito landing port, is Irabu Island's main port, and being able to watch the fish being landed is one of the highlights of a trip to Sarahama! Diagonally across from Yumutsu, you'll find a popular restaurant serving fisherman's bowls, run by the Irabu Fisheries Association. After enjoying the underwater world through snorkeling, enjoy a full taste of Irabu Island with local fisherman's food.
  • Safety Initiatives
  • We pay careful attention to safety, ensuring buoyancy with wetsuits and life jackets, and our world-class certified guides will provide detailed instructions on how to use the equipment and provide full support. Even if you are a first-timer or not confident in your swimming, please feel free to join the tour with peace of mind.

Important notes regarding course participation:

  • *A doctor's certificate is required if you have any of the following conditions: 1) Respiratory diseases such as asthma or pulmonary tuberculosis (2) Heart disease (3) High blood pressure (4) Dizziness or fainting (5) Epilepsy (6) Taking regular medication (7) Diabetes (8) Have been advised by a doctor to refrain from exercise (9) Unexplained physical ailments *A doctor's certificate is required if any of the above apply to you. Please be aware of this in advance. *Participants are expected to be in good health for the tour and are responsible for managing their own health during the tour. [Notes on drone aerial photography] ・Flights may be canceled for safety reasons in case of bad weather such as strong winds or rain. ・Flights may be canceled in the event of equipment trouble. ・While we take every precaution to ensure safety during flights, there is a possibility that the captured data may be damaged or lost due to unforeseen problems. *Please note that if drone photography is not possible due to weather conditions, equipment trouble, or scheduling issues, a partial refund of the tour fee will not be possible. Minimum number of participants: 5 people

Other special notes:

  • Skin diving (freediving) courses are available for an additional 2,000 yen. *As a general rule, please request this by the day before the tour. *Even if you submit a doctor's certificate, we may refuse your participation. We sometimes receive inquiries asking, "Can I participate if I have a doctor's certificate?" To put it simply, there are certain medical conditions that will prevent you from participating, even with a doctor's certificate. The following people are included: ・Those with asthma or who have had an asthma attack within the past 5 years ・Those with diabetes requiring insulin treatment ・Those aged 55 or older with heart disease (angina pectoris, myocardial infarction, etc.) or who have had a history of heart disease ・Those aged 55 or older who have had a cerebrovascular disease such as a stroke or cerebral hemorrhage This does not negate the doctor's judgment. However, many doctors who issue these certificates do not actually understand the unique sea conditions of Yaebise or the risks of our tours. Yaebise is very different from typical snorkeling from the beach. Because it takes place offshore, the natural environment, such as strong currents, waves, and wind, is constantly changing. In the unlikely event of a sudden change in your condition, we are not in an environment where you can be transported to a hospital in minutes. In fact, there have been reports of accidents where people who were healthy before the tour started developed swimming-induced pulmonary edema and lost their lives, and cases where what was thought to be a mild asthma attack triggered inhalation of seawater, leading to death. A medical certificate is one factor in determining whether you "may be permitted to exercise" from a medical standpoint, but it does not guarantee that the activity can be carried out safely in that area. Furthermore, in the event of an accident, the responsibility will fall not on the doctor who wrote the certificate, but on us, the guides who actually conducted the tour. That is why we do not make decisions based solely on the presence or absence of a medical certificate. We prioritize the safety of all participants, and the final decision on whether or not you can participate is made by a guide who is intimately familiar with the area. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
