— What You Can Expect —

Rubber boots are available for rental on rainy days, ensuring you stay clean and comfortable. This night tour includes guides in both Japanese and English and round-trip transport, offering peace of mind. Spot unique wildlife and plants, such as the rare coconut crab, that can’t be found on the mainland.

Located approximately 400 km southwest of Okinawa’s main island, Iriomote is a secluded part of the Yaeyama Islands, with about 90% of its area covered in natural forests. Iriomote Island’s rare, pristine environment has earned it the designation of Japan’s first “starry sky conservation area.” Under favorable weather, you may witness a breathtaking starry sky that feels almost otherworldly. Come experience this enchanting night scene, far removed from city lights.


Purchase Notice

・If you would like to be picked up from a hotel in the Uehara area, please fill in the name and address of your hotel in the "Notes" field when making your reservation. The local tour operator will inform you of the pick-up time.
*Hotels outside the Uehara area (Jungle Hotel Painu Maya, Eco Village, Latida Iriomote, etc.) are not within the pick-up area. If you are staying at one of these hotels, please take a bus or taxi to Uehara Port.

・The meeting and departure times may vary depending on the season and the field conditions on the day. The shop will contact you the day before the tour to inform you of the meeting place and time.

・The tour will be held in rainy weather. However, if we determine that the safety of the field cannot be ensured, the tour may be canceled.

・Due to the nature of this tour, which focuses on the field/observation of nature, the content is easily affected by the weather, and we cannot guarantee "what you will be able to see on that day." Our shop holds tours with the understanding that there are circumstances such as those mentioned above regarding the tour content. In addition, if the weather on the day of the tour is not the best, we will discuss rescheduling to another day if it suits you.

  • The meeting and disbanding times may vary depending on the season and field conditions on the day. The shop will contact you the day before the tour to inform you of the meeting place and time.   • The tour will proceed even in rainy weather. However, if we determine that the safety of the field cannot be guaranteed, we reserve the right to cancel the tour.

  • Please come dressed in clothes that you don't mind getting wet.

  • Please use the restroom before participating (there are no restrooms near the venue).

  • We cannot accept participants who have consumed alcohol. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Please contact us in advance if you will be late.
