Instructions on eligibility for child tickets:
Children's tickets are determined by age: children under 12 years old.
Full price: Anyone aged 12 or older, regardless of height, should purchase a full price ticket.Judging by height (when proof of age cannot be provided).
Free ride for children under 115 cm tall.
Children's tickets: those who are 115 cm or taller but under 150 cm tall.
Unanimous vote: Anyone who is 150 cm or taller.
Senior Citizen Ticket Eligibility Guidelines:
According to the "Elderly Welfare Act", citizens aged 65 and above or permanent residents with permanent residence permits marked as having preferential treatment on domestic public transportation can use senior citizen tickets when riding public transportation.
The age of the elderly is calculated based on the date of travel.Identity verification will be conducted at the entrance gates and on the train. Please have your senior citizen identification documents ready when boarding.

What is the expiration date for tickets and accommodation vouchers?
Ticket activation: You must complete the activation by entering the serial number starting with "85" in the Taiwan PASS APP before 115/12/31 .
Accommodation voucher: Must be redeemed and used before 115/12/31 .

Yes, this plan is for personal use only. Accommodation providers will verify your original ID card upon check-in and check the ID number entered in the app to ensure consistency for subsequent verification. When activating a ticket on the Taiwan PASS APP, the user's ID number must be entered. When redeeming Taiwan Railway Passes, reserving seats, and during travel, users must carry the original of a valid government-issued document displaying their photo, ID number, and date of birth, such as an ID card, National Health Insurance card, or driver's license, for verification by station or train staff.
Senior citizen tickets are non-transferable. If you do not carry your ID, the ID does not match the ticket information, it cannot be identified as your own, or someone else is using the ticket to board the train, it will be considered as incorrect identity or traveling without a ticket. You will need to pay a supplementary ticket according to Taiwan Railways Administration regulations, and may be charged an additional 50% of the ticket price. The original travel pass will not be refundable.How can I use the accommodation voucher? Are there any restrictions?
Please log in to your personal information on the Tourism Bureau's "Domestic Travel Subsidy Application System" before using it.
Accommodation is valid only on weekdays (Sunday to Thursday) , excluding national holidays and consecutive holidays.
The discount is limited to one time per room per night, with a maximum discount of NT$1,500 per instance. It cannot be used in multiple transactions. If the discount amount is less than NT$1,500, the remaining credit will be forfeited.
Booking channels: You must book directly with the accommodation providers participating in the incentive program, or through a legal online travel agency (OTA) approved by the Tourism Bureau. Please check the list of participating accommodations and OTAs on the "Domestic Travel Subsidy Application System".
When booking a hotel through an OTA and using a weekday accommodation voucher, please follow the application process for each OTA's published incentive program and provide the accommodation voucher serial number or other necessary personal information.More detailed information

Purchase Notice
- If the purchased plan has not yet been activated by entering the serial number in the APP, you can get a full refund through the original purchase channel. Once the purchased plan is activated in the APP, it cannot be refunded or exchanged.
- Some products require advance reservation or exchange for physical tickets/cards. Please be sure to follow the instructions to complete the exchange/reservation process to protect your rights.
- If you lose your redeemed physical tickets or paper tickets, we regret that we cannot reissue them. Please keep them safe.
- Once redeemed, used, or expired, all items are non-refundable and non-exchangeable.
- Please confirm your travel plans and usage scope before purchasing to avoid damage to the product.
- Taiwan Railway Pass:
In the event of force majeure such as typhoons, during periods of maritime typhoon warnings or route disruptions, resulting in train cancellations, missed journeys, or inability to board, please present your "Unused Seat Ticket and Taiwan Railway Pass" at a designated Taiwan Railway station to change the usage date or obtain a refund.
(1) Before the activation date of the "Taiwan Railway Pass": Passengers are allowed to change the activation date, but no refund or cancellation service is provided. (Please present the physical "Taiwan Railway Pass" at one of the 66 designated Taiwan Railway stations to process the change).
(2) After the activation date of the "Taiwan Railway Pass": Since the activation date has passed, only a refund service is provided and the date cannot be changed! The refund period will be determined based on the usage status (can be processed at any station in Taiwan).
Refund process for force majeure events: Passengers can go to a Taiwan Railway station with their "Taiwan Railway Pass" ticket or seat ticket to apply for a refund through the original purchase channel. Refunds will be issued proportionally based on the passenger's ticket status.
Reminders
If a Taiwan PASS Taiwan Railway version serial number is not activated after its expiration date, or if a weekday accommodation voucher is not used after its expiration date, it will be considered as a forfeiture, and no extension, refund, or compensation can be requested.
If the ticket cannot be used after redemption due to personal reasons, the order will not be cancelled or partially refunded. Please be advised.
No refund or return will be accepted after any product has been exchanged and used.
We will not reissue lost tickets or paper tickets. Please keep them in a safe place.
In the event of force majeure (including but not limited to typhoons, earthquakes, heavy rains and other natural disasters), the organizer may postpone or cancel the event for the sake of public safety, and notify and contact the participants in advance. - How to use: This package must be redeemed and used via the Taiwan PASS APP. Please install the dedicated app first: Click here to download Taiwan PASS APP.
Validity Period Explanation (in chronological order of operation):
- Activate Plan: You must activate the plan within 1 year of purchase, by 2026/12/31 (50% Off Domestic Travel, Domestic Travel Exclusive), by entering the '85-series serial number from your order voucher' in the APP.
Example: If you purchase the TRA version plan on 2026/1/1, you must complete the plan activation in the APP by 2027/1/1 (After activation, the APP screen will display the card at the top and the product category list at the bottom).
50% Off Domestic Travel, Domestic Travel Exclusive Example: If you purchase the TRA version plan on 2026/1/1, you must complete the plan activation in the APP by 2026/12/31 (After activation, the APP screen will display the card at the top and the product category list at the bottom). - Plan Validity Period (varies depending on 'whether the first redeemed product is the TRA pass'):
Scenario ➀ The first redeemed product is the physical 'TRA Pass' card
After receiving the physical TRA Pass card, travelers must use (ride, enter, or redeem a physical ticket for) at least 1 non-major transportation category product within 30 days. After this, all remaining products must be used within 7 days.
Example: If you redeem the physical card at a designated TRA counter on 2026/1/3, you must redeem the 2nd non-major transportation product (e.g., Fun Pass) at a designated location by 2026/2/2. After completing the 2nd product redemption, all remaining products must be used or ridden on-site by 2026/2/9.
Scenario ➁ The first redeemed product is 'not' the physical TRA Pass card
Starting from the date of the first use (ride, entry, or redemption of a physical ticket), please use all remaining products on-site within 7 days.
Example: If the first product selected is the 'Taipei Fun Pass 2-Day Pass' and you redeem the physical card at the counter on 2026/1/3, all remaining products must be used or redeemed on-site by 2026/1/9.
