Under Japanese law, the driver's license must have been issued in a country or region that is a signatory to the Geneva Convention and must be in the format prescribed by that convention (※), so customers who do not have an applicable driver's license cannot use this product.
*Depending on the country or region, even if it is a member of the Geneva Convention, the license may be issued in a format based on the Vienna Convention. In this case, the license does not fall under the "prescribed format" above (you will not be able to drive).
Please note that if you hold a driver's license from Taiwan, Switzerland, Germany, France, Belgium or Monaco, you will need to attach a Japanese translation prepared by the license issuing agency in that country or region, or by an embassy or consulate in Japan.
Please note that there are other restrictions, such as the validity period being calculated from the date of landing in Japan (the validity period of an international driver's license is one year from the date of issue) or the validity period of the license itself, whichever is shorter. Driving on public roads without a valid license is subject to criminal punishment as unlicensed driving. For more information, please also see here .

Please adhere to your scheduled appointment time. If you exceed your scheduled time, you will automatically be considered a no-show, and no refund will be given. Thank you for your understanding.
Please be sure to present a valid form of identification, such as a driver's license. If you do not have a valid form of identification on the day of your visit, you will not be able to participate in the experience. No refunds will be given in such cases. Thank you for your understanding.
Customers holding a driver's license from Taiwan, Switzerland, France, Germany, Belgium, Slovenia, or Monaco must present their license from that country, a Japanese translation of their license, and a copy of their passport.
Customers holding a license from a country that is a signatory to the Geneva Convention (such as the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and South Korea) are required to present a copy of their driver's license from that country, their international driving permit, and their passport.
In case of severe weather such as heavy rain or typhoons, we will cancel the course and arrange it for an alternative time you specified when making your reservation. If the alternative time is inconvenient for you, we will issue a full refund.
Akiba Kart Shinjuku offers free rental of various cosplay costumes. You are also welcome to bring your own costume. Please refrain from wearing high heels, shoes with wooden soles, or long skirts.
Each cart (miniature car) is limited to one passenger.
If a pregnant passenger wishes to board, we will not offer refunds or accept any liability.
We will need to verify your driver's license details, so please arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.
